Finding a Surveyor

It is always best to get a proper survey on a property you are buying and not rely on the lenders valuation to reveal all the possible problems.

Possibly the best way to finding a good surveyor is asking for recommendations from your mortgage lender, solicitors, estate agent or even friends that have moved recently.

Talk to your mortgage lender before instructing a surveyor and get the basic valuation done at the same time as your survey and possibly save on cost.

Find a surveyor online via Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors - Location Search Engine

All surveyors should be a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) where you can check up on their credentials
